For decades, writers around the globe have committed to writing a first draft of a novel during the 30 days of November. The community effort known as NaNoWriMo offers an excellent opportunity to focus on a project with the knowledge that you’re part of something larger than yourself.
I wrote my first novel, Homing, as a NaNoWriMo project, and wow, did I learn a lot. I’d love to share what I know with you, help you kickstart your own project, and offer weekly support while you undertake this totally bonkers, but definitely doable endeavour.
This NaNoWriMo Start to Finish Virtual Workshop happens Sundays, from October 30 to November 27, 4pm-6pm. The fee is $125. You get a supportive, small group workshop with weekly writing prompts designed to help move your story forward and lots of time to ask questions and learn from the instructor and your fellow students.
